How a silk flower comes together
The same four stages behind every piece in the shop — whether you're starting with our beginner kit or building a full bridal bouquet.

Cut
Trace petal, leaf and calyx patterns onto pre-starched silk or art-silk and cut each piece by hand.

Shape
Warm a nozzle on the flower iron and press each petal to curl its edge, cup its centre and vein it.

Colour
Mix powder dyes or paints and shade each petal from base to tip for a realistic, layered colour.
4
Assemble
Wire the stamens, wrap the stem in floral tape and build up the petals and leaves into a finished bloom.
